Every 7 seconds someone is turning 50 in America.

In Florida, 1 out of 5 people are over 65 today. One in 5 will be 65 by 2020 in Colorado!

Longevity meant 48 years of age at the turn of the 20th centuryI am 48 years of age and I still feel 29. Times are changing and so has everything else.

A challenge for our culture in the new millenium will be the development of the largest network of products and services that will provide quality service to our baby boomers and their loved ones. From healthcare to in-home services that will come to you in your home to everything becoming available on the internet.

And we want service that is reliable and trustworthy. We have a long way to go to get there. Starting with what we pay our caregivers in this culture. As we work and play, our children and aging parents deserve the very best care and we will have to create a system that will take care of the job. Remember , we are the generation who goes after what we want and usually find iteven if we have to create it.

There are major issues facing us and I will be discussing what they all are and how we can get there in my upcoming articles. From affordable housing options to caregiver issues and up and coming new business needs for the entrepreneur that is wondering what they can do to get a piece of the action.

As we begin a new era, lets get ready to do the job right.

I have some great ideas and resources available to you today in my network called Connections Unlimited. Call me at 303-232-3359 or Email at askjoni@in2l.com.

I can be heard every few weeks on Tuesday mornings at KHOW 6.30 AM with Tom Martino the consumer advocate talk show from 9-noon.

Connections Unlimited was founded by Joni Seivert 10 years ago to fill a gap for families who were seeking options for their loved ones.
